Grilling Veggies

Did You Know...

Vegetables all have very distinct and delicious flavors. By eating them raw or even baked you are enjoying only a fraction of their true flavor. This is especially true of peppers such as Jalapeno, Bell, Poblano etc. By grilling or even placing them under a broiler first will release all those pent up flavors.
Simply place the pepper, whole or halved, on the grill over medium high heat. As it cooks the skin begins to blacken. Don't worry this is normal. When the pepper has softened and the skin blackened, simply remove it from the heat and seal it in a ziploc type baggie. The pepper will continue to "steam" itself over the next few minutes. After about 5-10 minutes, remove it and gently peel the skin off with your fingers. It can now be cut up and served as desired.
